City Electric Bike
A City Electric Bike is designed for use in urban environments which means that they have thinner tyres and are very functional with a rear rack, fenders and chainguards. They are designed for commuting and therefore have a comfortable seating position.
Most city e bikes are meant for short to medium range distances and are therefore less suited for trekking longer distances. In general, city e bikes fall in either two categories. On the one hand you have city e bikes which are designed for functionality and are very affordable, and on the other hand there are city e bikes which are designed to make a statement and have an unique design. Since city bikes are not meant for long distance trekking it leaves more room to add to the design to make them more unique so you can make a statement while you drive through a crowded city!
